Advances in Strawberry Research is the research publication of the North American Strawberry Growers Association, Inc. (NASGA). Advances in Strawberry Research is published annually and circulated to members of NASGA, professional strawberry researchers, and state and provincial experiment station libraries. Neither NASGA nor the editors assume responsibility for the recommendations made or implied in any published material.

Manuscripts submitted for publication in Advances in Strawberry Research and inquiries concerning the Journal should be sent to the Editor. Manuscripts from non-members, as well as members as of NASGA, will be considered for publication. Research articles and reports may be related to any aspect of research on strawberry. Submission implies nonsubmission elsewhere in the same form. All research manuscripts are subject to review by the Editor and at least two other reviewers. A list of the reviewers contributing to volumes 16 through 21 will appear in volume 21. The deadline for submission of articles for the 2002 (Volume 21) issue of Advances in Strawberry Research is Novmber 30, 2002. Please contact the Editor for final dates of submission.

Manuscripts submitted for publication in Advances in Strawberry Research should follow formats requested for the Journal of the American Society for Horticultural Science, HortScience, Plant Disease, or the most recent issue of Advances in Strawberry Research. All research articles must be in English. Additional abstracts in other languages are optional. Abstracts should summarize results in lay terms and their importance to, or impact on, strawberry production, as well as to programs in strawberry research.

Measurements should be expressed in International Units followed, where practical, by their English equivalents in parentheses. Table titles and footnotes should include enough information to be self-explanatory. Illustrations, including graphs, should be high-quality originals. Numbers and letters on figures and line drawings should be large enough and in an appropriate type style to be legible after reduction. All references listed must be pertinent and cited in the text.

An original plus two copies of each manuscript should be sent to the Editor. Following final revisions and acceptance, authors must forward their manuscripts on a disk or by electronic mail in an appropriate format. Format information will be indicated following conditional manuscript acceptance. Submission on computer diskettes will reduce publication costs and errors, thereby minimizing page charges for articles.

Page charge prices are provided on request for publication in Advances in Strawberry Research. Reprints of articles are not available; however, the first-listed author will receive a complimentary copy of the issue in which that article appears.
