2008 Summer Tour-Columbus, Ohio

Our 2008 Summer Tour will be in Columbus, Ohio, on August 20 and 21.
This is going to be a great tour, seeing some of the best practices in growing, and visiting some of our favorite farms and farm markets.
Among others, you'll visit:
- The Blueberry Patch, Ohio's largest blueberry farm
- Holthouse Farm, a grower of salad vegetables in the "muck" ground of "celeryville"
- Polter's Berry Farm, with 13 acres of strawberries, plus other berries & vegetables
- Jacquemin Farm, growers of strawberries & vegetables sold at their farm market
- Champaign Berry Farm, with 27 acres of raspberies, plus blackberries & blueberries
- Robert Rothschild Farm, Pick your own, market and cafe
- Fulton Farm, grower of strawberries and vegetables for retail and wholesale markets.

Our headquarters hotel will be the Drury Inn, in downtown Columbus, Ohio, convenient to shops and evening entertainment. The hotel is located adjacent to the Columbus Convention Center, at 88 East Nationwide Blvd, Columbus, Ohio 43215.

2009 Annual Meeting in New Orleans
January 19-21, 2009
Next year's Annual Conference will be held in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 19 through 21st, 2009.
Our host hotel will be the beautiful and historic Hotel Monteleone, located on the world famous Royal Street in the French Quarter, just a block from the sights and sounds of Bourbon Street and world famous Canal Street.

6th International Strawberry Symposium in Huelva, Spain
A number of NASGA members attended the 6th International Strawberry Symposium in Huelva, Spain on February 28-March 2. Those attending also enjoyed a special NASGA lead three-day pretour of the area.
Past president Steve Polter, Polter Berry Farm, prepared a slide show of the visit.
