Bringing together strawberry growers, researchers, extension specialists and industry professionals from around the world, this event will explore the latest research, production practices and innovations shaping the future of the strawberry industry.
The program will feature two and a half days of workshops, research and marketing presentations, poster sessions, networking opportunities, a reception and an awards luncheon. Topics will span strawberry breeding and genetics, pest and disease management, propagation, production practices, postharvest quality and food safety, alongside emerging innovations in artificial intelligence, precision agriculture, automation and robotics.
The February 10 post-conference tour will offer a firsthand look at commercial production and applied research in Florida.
Planned stops include Wish Farms, a 600-acre strawberry farm, and the University of Florida Gulf Coast Research and Education Center, including its new AI Applied Research Center. Participants will explore diverse production systems, including conventional, organic and tabletop production.
