"Advances in Strawberry Research" is the
research publication of the North American Strawberry
Growers Association. It is published annually and
circulated to members of NASGA, professional strawberry
researchers, and state and provincial experiment station
libraries to promote and improve the industry and
industry practices. Articles and reports relate to
a variety of aspects of strawberry research. Neither
NASGA nor the editors assume responsibility for the
recommendations made in or implied in any published
material
Submitting manuscripts for publication:
Manuscripts submitted for publication in "Advances
in Strawberry Research" and inquiries concerning
the Journal should be sent to the Editor. Manuscripts
from non-members, as well as members as of NASGA,
will be considered for publication. Research articles
and reports may be related to any aspect of research
on strawberry. Submission implies non-submission elsewhere
in the same form. All research manuscripts are subject
to review by the Editor and at least two other reviewers.
A list of the reviewers contributing to volumes 16
through 21 will appears in volume 21. Please contact
the Editor for final dates of submission for the upcoming
volume.
Manuscripts submitted for publication in "Advances
in Strawberry Research" should follow formats
requested for the Journal of the American Society
for Horticultural Science, HortScience, Plant Disease,
or the most recent issue of Advances in Strawberry
Research. All research articles must be in English.
Additional abstracts in other languages are optional.
Abstracts should summarize results in lay terms and
their importance to, or impact on, strawberry production,
as well as to programs in strawberry research.
Measurements should be expressed in International
Units followed, where practical, by their English
equivalents in parentheses. Table titles and footnotes
should include enough information to be self-explanatory.
Illustrations, including graphs, should be high-quality
originals. Numbers and letters on figures and line
drawings should be large enough and in an appropriate
type style to be legible after reduction. All references
listed must be pertinent and cited in the text.
An original plus two copies of each manuscript should
be sent to the Editor. Following final revisions and
acceptance, authors must forward their manuscripts
on a disk or by electronic mail in an appropriate
format. Format information will be indicated following
conditional manuscript acceptance. Submission on computer
diskettes will reduce publication costs and errors,
thereby minimizing page charges for articles.
Page charge prices are provided on request for publication
in Advances in Strawberry Research. Reprints of articles
are not available; however, the first-listed author
will receive a complimentary copy of the issue in
which that article appears.
